In order to understand diverse cultures, it is necessary to understand and have attachment to\none’s own culture. It is only when one is attached to one’s own culture that one can understand and\nrespect the attachment of others. Sharing and understanding one’s own culture is the source of national\nidentity formation. The purpose of this study is to present a method to investigate what national identity is\nfostered in music education.
