this study,we examined the effectiveness of vocabulary learning that leads to the development of\nexpressive skills,based on the results obtained in practice with third-year junior high school students.There are\ntwo strategies used.The first is to learn about vocabulary in order to use appropriate words,and use what you\nhave learned and vocabulary cards to solve problems in expression.The second is to place refrective activities\nabout one’s own vocabulary and vocabulary use before and after vocabulary learning.We examined how the\nteaching process based on these strategies worked,and what kinds of learners’awareness of the skills\nnecessary for vocabulary learning increased,based on self-evaluation and reflections at each stage.The results\nshowed that learners were able to gain awareness about finding, increasing,and using vocabulary,and were\nable to increase their self-awareness regarding vocabulary and vocabulary use.It was also confirmed that\nawareness of the task of selecting appropriate words is important for vocabulary development.However,since\nthese results are the results of one practice,it is necessary to consider them through the accumulation of\npractical research in order to generalize
