| 内容記述 | 東京帝国大学名誉教授である塩谷温は、近代日本における中国古典文学の研究に重要な役割を果たした。 塩谷は1909年から中国の長沙にて文献学者・書誌学者として著名な葉德輝に師事して戯曲名作を学び、 1912年に帰国すると中国古典戯曲小説の研究と東京帝国大学での講義を進めた。1919年に出版した『支那 文学概論講話』は、中国近代文学の巨匠である魯迅の名著『中国小説史略』（1923年）に大きな影響を与え たことは学界で周知の事実である。本稿では、塩谷が葉徳輝から中国古典戯曲を学んだ具体的な状況を考察 し、中国への留学、とりわけ恩師である葉徳輝の指導が塩谷の中国古典戯曲研究に与えた影響を明らかにし た。また、近代における日本と中国との学術交流という視点から、塩谷と葉徳輝の交友は美談でありながら も、これまで研究されてこなかった原因についても探ってみた。 |

| 内容記述 | It is a well-known fact that the famous Japanese sinologist Shionoya On (塩谷温) (1878-1962), who made a remarkable achievement in the study of Chinese fiction and opera, wrote his“ Lectures on the Introduction to Chinese Literature(支那文學概論講話)” (1919), which had a profound influence on Lu Xun (魯迅)’s “A Brief History of Chinese Fiction (中国小説史略)” (1923). In his early years, Shionoya On (塩谷温)studied in China from August 1909 to August 1912 in order to learn the Chinese language and classical Chinese opera. After studying spoken Chinese in Beijing, he went to Changsha to study Yuanqu Opera under the famous bibliophile Ye Dehui (葉徳輝).This article attempts to illustrate the influence of his study in China, especially that of his mentor Ye Dehui (葉徳輝), on his research on classical Chinese operas by examining the experiences of Shionoy‘a s study in China, and at the same time, from the point of view of modern Chinese-Japanese academic exchanges, it seeks to find out why Lu Xun(魯迅)’s and Masuda Wataru(増田渉)’s friendship with has attracted so much attention while Ye Dehui(葉徳輝)’s and Shionoya On (塩谷温‘) s mentorship has not been well regarded. |
