While the studies suggested that the students’\nmotivation and effort of homework are domain-specific, the studies examined\nexclusively the subjects in high school. Thus, it is unclear whether the motivation and\neffort of homework in high school predicts those of tasks in university. In the present\nstudy, eighty nine university students recollected and rated their motivation and effort\nof homework in high school. Furthermore, the participants rated their motivation\nand effort of tasks in university. The results showed that the students’ effort and\nmotivation of the tasks in university can be predicted with the effort and motivation\nof homework in high school. The present study suggests that previous motivation and\neffort of homework in high school possibly relate with the students’ motivation and\neffort of tasks in university.
