They take aspirin to prevent recurrence, and proton pump inhibitors (PPI) are prescribed to reduce a risk of gastrointestinal bleeding.\nHowever, it becomes a problem that diarrhea and reflux cannot be prevented due to the inability to use a pectin-containing enteral nutrient that is semi-solid in the acidic conditions of the stomach.\nTherefore, in this study, a thickener was added to the tube feeding, and changes in viscosity were examined by reproduction with artificial gastric juice. When a thickener was added to a pectin-free tube nutrient under the conditions of artificial gastric juice assuming the stomach of a patient taking PPI, the viscosity increased uniformly more than 500 mPas / sec 10 minutes later.
