| 内容記述 | The current study examined whether the picture books which children want to read and the books that adults want to read match or not. In experiment 1, a total of 38 children （4- and 5-year-old children） were presented six picture books of the same story with different covers were required to select books which they want to read. In experiment 2, 20 students were asked which picture book to choose when they read to children. As a result, there was a sex difference in the choice of picture books in 5-year-old children. Moreover, there was a gap between the picture book selected by the children and the picture book selected by the students. These results suggested that the importance of visual elements in the selection of picture books. |
