| 内容記述 | The purpose of this study is to clarify the " Snuggle up " that is necessary for care workers to look after elderly people with dementia. An interview took place among 14 care workers, and a figure was compiled using the KJ method. The results show that caregivers suffered from a physical and mental burden. As professionals, however, they faced the contradictory need to maintain high ethical standards while keeping high quality. In such a situation, "unrecognizable behavior" leads to thinking "I don't know," and giving up "because the person is in the state of senile dementia," or "true feeling" comes out. In contrast to "the ideal image," the care worker has "regret, reflection, and hesitation" and fights an inner struggle. Encouraged by "a happy episode," however, the care worker somehow "tries to understand." If he looks at the individualistic aspects of the elderly with dementia, he can recognize that they are the same human beings as care workers. It has been evident that this discovery works as the driving force for care workers. Therefore, " Snuggle up " probably refers to the whole process of trial and error by care workers as they look after elderly people with dementia. |
